This watercolour of the Hartland Covered Bridge came together pretty quickly. I’ve driven through that bridge more times than I can count. It’s a familiar spot, and painting it felt natural, something that’s always been there. It’s too bad the government hasn’t done more to turn it into a real attraction — it deserves more love. This piece is part experiment, part memory, and all about capturing a place that’s quietly iconic.
